Live music sessions throughout the day with several local bands. Boss Hydro, Zengage, Stems and Seeds , REV, AJ Slick Band Mike Lecompt , Mike Mcullough & Joe Coyne.
This was a great draw last year to the Frankford and Cottman Triangle! There will also be sidewalk sales, an arts and crafts show, free giveaways, face-painting, balloons and many other great events for the families in Mayfair. We are organizing a new event this year; the "Best Pizza in Mayfair" contest. If you are a pizza shop in Mayfair we would love for you to participate! You will have bragging rights above all the other pizza places in Mayfair, be featured in the May Fair article in the Northeast Times and NEPhilly.com, and a special award that you can proudly display in your shop (at least until next year's contest). The Civic Association will be awarding the 2012 Mayfair Award to Monsignor Charles McGroarty, the Business Association will be honoring business of the year and the 15th PDAC will honoring Crossing Guard of the year.
While most of the daytime activities are going to be geared towards families, we are also planning a "Mayfair After Dark" event that will be held in the Devon Quarter near the The Grey Lodge. We are still working on an exact itinerary but either way it will be a great ending to the day of the Mayfair May Fair!!
