Re: 2014 Mayfair Award
Dear Mr. Smyth:
Please accept this letter on behalf of
the Mayfair Civic Association as notification that your organization has been
voted as this year’s co-winner of our Annual Mayfair Award along with the
Lansing Knights; past recipients include Reese Hartey, past Chairman of the
Mayfair Community Development Corporation, Monsignor Charles McGroarty, Pastor
of St. Matthew Parish and John Leong, unofficial neighborhood
photographer. The award is given each
year to a neighborhood resident or organization that has made a significant
impact on our community and has done their part in making Mayfair a better
place to live. Your organization, of which
I have been a part of as a player and more recently with my son through your
STARS program, is the type of organization from which communities build. This is in no small part to your commitment,
Mr. Smyth, as well as the commitment of your entire Board.
People
in our community spend entirely too much time dwelling on the negatives and not
nearly enough time embracing the positives, of which your organization plays a
huge role. Many of us realize how lucky
we are to have your organization be a part of the Mayfair Community. Therefore,
on May 17, 2014 at 12PM at Cottman and Frankford Aves., during our Annual
Mayfair May Fair, we would like to honor your organization as a co-recipient of
the Fourth Annual Mayfair Award. Again,
congratulations and please contact me with any questions.
Sincerely,

that you, or someone from your organization, can make time to be there. Again, congratulations and please contact me
